Overview
FadeNote is designed to provide temporary note-taking without requiring an account. Note titles and content are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to a FadeNote notes server.
Information you create
When you create a note, FadeNote stores its title, content, creation and expiration times, and selected color in the app’s local storage on your device. This information remains under your control through the app’s edit, restore, and delete features.
FadeNote does not use your note content for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
App configuration service
FadeNote may contact Google Firebase Remote Config when the app launches to retrieve configuration settings. FadeNote does not send your note titles or note content to Firebase.
Google may process limited technical information needed to provide this service, which can include app and device information, IP address, and installation identifiers. Google processes that information under its own terms and privacy documentation.
Accounts, advertising, and payments
FadeNote does not require an account and does not include third-party advertising, subscriptions, or in-app purchases in the current version.
Data retention and deletion
Active notes remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. When “Keep faded history” is enabled, expired notes remain in the Faded tab until restored or deleted. When it is disabled, expired notes are permanently removed while the app is active.
You can delete individual notes, clear all faded notes, or delete the app to remove its locally stored data. Once permanently deleted, notes cannot be recovered through FadeNote.
This website
This website does not intentionally use analytics, advertising trackers, accounts, forms, or cookies. If you contact us by email, your email provider and ours will process the information you choose to include in your message.
The hosting provider may automatically process standard technical request data, such as IP address, browser information, and access time, for security and reliable delivery of the website.
Children’s privacy
FadeNote is not directed specifically to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or notes server.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when FadeNote’s features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when an update is published.
